Tattoo's + Pregnancy?

So I'm considering getting a tattoo along one of my hipbones; but I just came to realize if I end up getting pregnant or gain a crapton of weight would that effect the tattoo.

It would indeed. Considering all of the distortion your body goes through due to pregnancy, your tattoos in that area will stretch and contort as well. It's just up to you how much you honestly care.

Well I do care to some degree; even though my body is going to end up getting stretched out of shape eventually.
Maybe it would work better if I got it lower down or something.

Well me and my boyfriend are hopefully going to see the artist on Friday so I'll just ask him!
