I was recently reading a type of glove knitting which used i-cords for the fingers and knitted from the fingers down, I originally wanted to start from the cuff and go up all in st sts (stockinette stitches.), but a thought came into my head, if I knit the other way, will there be a difference in the stretch or how it is made? I know when you do st sts, it will look pretty much the same because of the "V"'s, but when you knit in st sts, will there be a difference in how the yarn is carried over from stitch to stitch?
PS (here is the pattern for the I-cord gloves)
