Where the Red Fern Grows is a phenomenal book. I would like to say somethings , but I don't want to give anything away to the people who haven't read it. I recommend it to those of you who haven't read it yet.

I had to read it for school a while back. It was good, but it wasn't my favorite. It was a little too..... I don't know.

The way he described the dogs I though it was cute. I could easily picture them in my head. The third time I read it I couldn't finish it because I would've ended up crying. I hardly cry when reading a book.

I haven't read it yet, but I've heard it was sad.

I don't like the book personally. My teacher read the book out loud to the class in fourth grade. I actually don't remember it much of it but I just can't get over the sad part. I just can't stand books where things like that happen, like Wringer or Animal Farm. It was probably very well written but I just can't get over that part.

We read it for school a couple years back, and I read ahead on my own and cried the first time I read they died, then my English teacher ended up reading the ending aloud to the class and I cried again!~ SO very sad! crying

the where the red fern grows is a good part but even tho the dogs died they died protecting someone the cared about and thats what makes even the sad part a good part.

Yeah. The third time I read it I cried. My friends were asking me what was wrong and I told them it was the book and they started laughing at me.

I loved it. I cried, though.
