Ok, so is there any definite explanation to what happens to him or will I always be tormented with the thought of: wtf happened to the guy!?

And what do I do with his bandanna? gonk

< If you were paying attention to his letters it would be clearer. >
< You would have read that he was drinking miasma-filled water in Conall Curach to try to build an immunity. >
< But his bandanna was in a monster's hands....so...I'm not sure. >
< It never really says, but he could have either been killed by said monster, or died from the water and the monster picked up his bandanna. >
< I hope that clears up kinda...it's one of those things that they never cleared up. It's kind of something for the fans to figure out. lol >
