Once I turn 18 I'm thinking about getting my tongue pierced. Though I have read up on it, does any one have any advice or information? Any thing would be appreciated.

I just realized I spelled prospective wrong...that's embarrassing.
I'd like to answer that poll, but I can't tell you if you should or shouldn't get your tongue pierced. That's up to you -entirely-.
As for advice... uhhh just advice that I'd give anyone looking to get a piercing. Make sure you go somewhere clean, safe, and professional. Don't be afraid to pay a little extra for quality. Don't go to a hack shop. ESPECIALLY with something like a tongue piercing.
Healing is relatively simple as long as you're careful..
Hah. but you probably know most of this seeing as you looked into it. razz Good luck, though!
In Canadian. Most of the shops I've seen charge about 50 - 70. So you're looking about that range for it.
The one thing you need to watch out for when you get it done, is no dairy at all for a long while, don't play with it too much, and make sure that the piercer has given you a long enough bar for the swelling. One girl I work with got hers done, she had to go back a day or two later because her tongue was swelling SO bad. She had a lisp for a good two weeks, almost. Also. When you do your mouthwash rinsing (after every meal/snack) make sure it's diluted. Cause just mouthwash alone is very strong and can kill even the good bacteria trying to heal it D:

I never thought about diluting the mouth wash, thanks.
