Hey guys, I thought you might be interested. I started my "university level" knitting class a few weeks ago, and I've been updating the experience in my Gaia journal.

I'll be updating every wednesday (Or thursday, depending on how exhausted I am), so feel free to ask me questions and I'll answer them as best I can over the week.

O.o Where do you go that you can take a university level knitting class?

As far as I know, the classes are only offered in Seattle and Vancouver, as there is only one woman in Canada (that I know of) who is teaching this class.

Basically, she spent something like 7 years learning, and becoming qualified to teach professional finishing and drafting of knitwear. In the next few years her first class of graduates (4th year students) will be able to teach first and second year of the program.

It's incredibly fun, but a TON of work.
