An Ode to Waxed Fruit
No lunch is complete
without such a treat!
Which fruit shines as bright
'Neath the flourescent light?
Others may stare
as I munch on my pear,
but I down you with glee,
simply happy to be.
Oh perfect and pure waxed fruit in my hand,
what other fruit can last as you can?
You never bruise when I pack you for lunch,
and it may just be me, but I have a hunch
there is no other fruit that is quite like you!
If only you weren't such a problem to chew.
