.:: Ranks & Upgrades ::.


NOTE on spells: You can at any time "learn new spells" by seeing another cast it or by finding the spell written out in a book somewhere. (Clear them with Finculmir first, please!)

Below you will find a list of the ranks followed by what you must have in order to be listed in that rank. The posts mentioned may be in any place, but in order to advance, you must use the skills of your profession in such a manner as indicates competence. Finculmir or one of the other crew members will decide if you are adept enough to be raised in rank and will inform you by PM of the change.

Healer arrow White Mage arrow White Wizard
Posts: 200
Healer: This is your basic, lowest level of power. You can close minor scratches and scrapes, lower fever to a manageable level, can delay poisons, and know which herbs to mix for certain basic cures. You are a nurse, essentially.
White Mage: Your healing powers have grown. You can now set most bones with your magic, though they will still need to be put in a cast for a week or two. You can eliminate fevers under 170 degrees. You can cure forest ailments such as poison ivy, eating a small dose of a poisonous plant, etc. You are the equivalent of a competent doctor.
White Wizard: You can heal practically anything. You spend a great deal of energy, and have thus widened your pool of magic to be able to include that of the people around you, if they let you. You can heal any bone as if it were never broken, reduce swelling with barely any effort, even eliminate most diseases. Such things as cancer are beyond your formidable skill, but you can be, effectively, chemotherapy and keep the growths small so long as you see your patients every week. You are a specialist. You tend to have one particular thing you are extra good at, but you can do just about anything.


Hunter arrow Hunter Master

(Master) Hunter: In either case, you are one of the people who brings back food for the clan. For the most part you use a bow, blow darts, spears, long knives (for skinning) or the occasional gun. You are extremely good at sneaking through the trees, keeping out of sight and downwind of your prey. Each hunter has his or her specialized weapon, with which they are especially good, but each has had basic training in all of the weapons from a Master at some point or another. You never get lost.

Warrior: As a warrior, you are a part of the Den's armed forces, if they get into a spat with another clan or a particularly fearsome forest creature. You have all the basic training with spears, swords, and bows, but tend to favor one above all else. You are a footsoldier.
Knight: As a knight, you are of higher rank than the warrior and have worked hard to become better at your specialized weaponry. You have been in some tough battles and emerged the victor, winning you respect and loyalty from those warriors under your command and the community at large. The Samurai are your commanders.
Samurai: As the generals of the army/militia, you have the hard work of coming up with successful strategies and commanding the entire company of warriors and knights. You have become a master with your chosen weapon and there are very few who come close to being a match for you.

Bounty Hunter arrow Elite Bounty Hunter

(Elite) Bounty Hunter: You are the ones hired to track down and eliminate the enemies of the den who continue to evade capture and plague the den. Your services have not been needed in some time, so you often hire yourself out to other clans, so long as you are not required to kill a member of your clan. You are somewhat like a spy in that way, as you are then required to return to the clan and report any other clans trying to kill clan members. You roam free and are trained in all sorts of assassin-type weapons as well as the bow and the gun.


Guard/Protector arrow Black Mage arrow Black Wizard

--Guard/Protector: You are the one who keeps the perimeters of the den safe. You challenge those who enter and are the first line of defense against thieves. You are also something like the clan police force, called in whenever a dispute gets out of hand and needs an adjudicator, or if some crime has occurred. You have had training in most weaponry, as well as some rudimentary protection magic - basic self armoring charms, a wind wall to protect you from arrows, cause a confusing mist to spring up, making an object light up, tell if someone is lying etc. 10 basic spells a day
--Black Mage: You have served quite a while in the guard and have proven yourself exceptional. You are a Captain, as it were, and have some greater skills in protectionary magics. You can cast a shield over someone else now, as well as calm your troops. You can also cast minor illusions and become invisible... until you hit someone. You can lock doors from a distance, make yourself or another extraordinarily strong or quick, and have spells which sharpen the eyesight and hearing of a person to twice its normal strength as well as being able to cast a ball of brilliant light into the faces of your enemies to dazzle and confuse them. You can also cause little ghost sounds from any place you choose, like ventriloquism at a range of up to 200 feet away. 15 basic spells and 5 medium difficulty spells a day.
--Black Wizard: You have an amazing array of magic to protect yourself and others. Any non magic weaponry will bounce from your perpetual shield, and even magic weapons will have a hard time getting through to you. You can shield an entire line of men (up to 20) from taking as much damage as they normally would, and can cause the shield to deflect projectiles as if it were bullet-proof glass. You can become invisible for half an hour at a time now and can strengthen or quicken those same 20 men all at once. You have more or less abandoned the use of weapons, unless you count long daggers, and instead have concentrated on making the best use of your magic to protect others and yourself. 20 basic spells, 10 medium difficulty spells, and 5 difficult spells a day.

These are levels of ninja from the Naruto show. I myself have never seen it, but that shouldn't stop you from using those levels in the most creative ways possible so long as you keep to your power limits.

Red Mage arrow Red Wizard

Red Mage: You have had some training in basic weaponry, but you are the only offensive caster of the magic users, so you rarely feel compelled to use mundane means of killing your foes. You have the ability to make small fireballs about the size of your fist, a freezing wind, spikes of earth shoot up from the ground to a height of one foot, hail about the size of golf balls, rain, rays of magical acid, light your hands on fire, summon animals up to the size of a wolf, call a lightning bolt from a clear sky, entangle foes in vines, cause an unnatural fear to fall on your foes for up to 5 minutes, shoot small bolts of pure arcane energy, and cause your hands to shock anyone you touch next with a great deal of electrical energy. You may do any of these things, so long as you only cast up to 15 of them a day.
Red Wizard: You have focused much of your time into learning greater amounts of spells and more powerful ones. Your fireballs can now be the size of wolves, if you wish, your spikes up to 3 feet tall, the hail the size of oranges. You can bring animals the size of draft horses to your side, call up thunderstorms of blinding rain and lightning, cause your foes to flee in terror of you for up to 10 minutes, turn anyone into an animal of your choosing at a touch, cause a barrier of flame to rise up to 15 feet high between 5 and 25 feet in front of you stretching for a length of up to 50 feet, cause a 10-minute earthquake, cause flames of amazing heat to edge any bladed weapon, create a blade of pure arcane energy in your hand that will do as much damage as a normal blade of that shape, rust any blade with a touch, and drain the life from a person you touch into yourself to heal. You can cast 25 of the Red Mage spells and 10 of your own higher powered ones a day.

Crew


I (The guild owner) was going to start a new crew thing. However, with me doing as many things as I do, I can't be here all the time to make sure things run smoothly and timely. So, this has changed. For now, the crew will be the council members. Seeing, as I'm starting the guild over, old ranks no longer count. and EVERYONE starts a new. Except me.. x_x but that's cuz I'm the owner. But even still. If I want to be an elder I still have to do the necessary things to become one. =P So I'm not fully cheating.

Okay. So to be on crew (aka council) you have to be the following.

ACTIVE - and more then a normal member. I need people I can depend on! and I can't depend on you if your just as absent as I am.

Trust Worthy - I'm going to have to trust you to get stuff done!

Independant. - I want to be able to know that you'll be able to make right decesions without me being here. This includes when to delete or sticky threads.

Helpful. - Being crew is a tough job! So, I'm going to need to depend on you to pming our members and letting them know what's up!


exclaim If at anytime I feel you are not complying with these requirements you will be warned. If you continue to not be up to our standards you will be demoted and your spot open. exclaim

Alright.. many many MANY of you ask questions... so.. here.. Now these questions.. may have been asked.. or are just questions I thought should be answered on here...

Q:Hi I'm new.. what do I do?
A: Well, there are a few things you can do. First you can post in the new members thread. Second you can post in the Character information Thread. Those are just a few to get you started. Then we have an entire gibberish section for you to post to your hearts content. ^_^ We also have a Contest and Activities section. There is pleanty to do. smile

Q:What is this guild about? confused
A: Ok first off.. this isn't a guild.. it's a den.. xd and it's about having fun... and roleplaying out this fun with your co-members. X3

Q:Ok, This "DEN" is a fox only den.. yet I see a wolf and a human amongst us... stare
A: Well, there was a leader previous to me... and he allowed them to be apart of our furreh family here. They are our two special members.. and until I say so they shall remain the only two special members of our little den. They shall be treated no different then our fellow foxes.. they are apart of our wonderful furreh family...

Q:Ok... fox den.. special members.. got it.. but.. why aren't people's wearing their fox stuff!?! gonk
A: Once in the guild.. make sure everyone knows you are a fox... after a few days and mostly everyone knows you are in fact a fox it isn't necessary to wear fox equipment... though it does help keep the theme... and no.. you shouldn't sell your fox stuff after you've joined the guild... stare It would be nice to see you wear it from time to time, and will be almost required if you are participating in a special guild event.

Q:It says active members... exactly How active is active.. people have other lives ya know stare
A: Yes, I'm aware of that.. but many members in this guild.. are currently the post 1-5 times then pretend we don't exist despite our efforts to get them to join a contest.. (even free ones stare ) To answer your question... Activeness means.. posting more then once joining contests.. starting one of your own... chatting.. helping out.. doing something.. even if it's only once a week.. use that day to join contests or post to your hearts content.. just.. what ever you do don't abandon us! gonk crying

Q:A lot of inactive members... why not just ban them? confused

A: stare Sorry.... there is a new system to the crew. ^_^ Check the post previous to this one and you'll see all the information about it. smile

Q: gonk BUT!! there are people in crew with a less post count.. and many others with a higher post count that aren't on crew! It's unfair!
A: sweatdrop eh.. yeah.. as I said. New crew system. smile We no longer base crew on post count. Some members, well don't speak up as much as others do. But they still help out greatly in the guild. 3nodding

Q:I have gold... I have lots of gold.. and I want to donate... where though?
A: We have the mule account which helps in running contest, getting prizes, and hopefully paying crew members smile . Then there is the guild it's self which right now only helps in buying subforums. So where to donate is really up to you. Donate to where you see fit. smile

Q:I want to donate to the guild mule... how?
A: xxxfoxdenxxx is the guild mule. You can search for him, or simply scroll up to I think the 3rd or 2nd post and click on the trade button.

Q:Ok.. what is this.. ranking business and how do I get ranked?
A: Ranks are really just positions in the den.. no one has more seniority over anyone else. To see the ranks scroll up. ^_^

Q:I have a rank! but how do I get a higher rank??
A: It's all on the .:: Guild Information ::. Thread!

Q:My friend wants to join... but they don't have fox stuff yet.
A: As long as they are questing for fox ears or tail or even both they are allowed in the guild. However if they prove false just to join because you are their friend.. they will get banned without question.
