I am a Catholic conservative Republican. One would say I'm definitely a right-winger. Here's why I say this:
On abortion, I'm hardcore pro-life. I love all children, especially babies.
I believe that as human beings, it is our moral obligation to defend the weak and the voiceless. If killing an unborn baby is okay, why don't we just release all the ***** and murderers? Why are people always talking about protecting children when we're turning a blind eye to all the babies being killed by abortion? Here's my response to the woman's choice thing: Who is she to decide her child's fate? Who are we to decide who lives and who dies? If the baby is "a part of her body" then why does the baby have it's own arms, legs, head, etc? I could go on all day, but I rest my case.
On gay marriage, I am anti. I've always been anti-gay marriage, but seeing how the No On 8 rioters are invading churches, creating derogatory ads about Mormons now I'm even more anti-gay marriage than before. I hate hypocrisy and it seems that "Equality For All" is now "Equality For All unless you don't agree with us". That's hypocrisy.
On the economy, I think all these bailouts are crud. Bailing out big businesses and forcing average citizens; the little guy to pay for it? Does that sound like capitalism?
On guns, I am pro-gun because I believe whatever is in the Constitution is there for a reason and should stick. The Second Amendment is the right to bear arms, so dang it, we should have the right to bear arms. I'm all for gun safety, gun training and trigger locks, but you can't just wipe out the right to bear arms all together.
I think Communist leaders would want to hang me by my intestines because I'm hardcore anti-communism, anti-socialism and anti-fascism. Government shouldn't rule everything. I'm also anti-anarchy, but I'm also for small government.
On the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, I am pro-Israel primarily because I'm anti-bully and Israel has been bulled for years by Palestine, Syria and Iran. Hamas provoked them, so Israel finally said, "Screw this!" and went after Hamas. Every nation has an obligation to defend itself.
On the Iraq War, I am pro. Crash into the Twin Towers, will ya?
On the environment, I am actually bipartisan. Of course it's important to protect the environment and conserving energy is great and all, but we can't get rid of industry or start living in huts. (Oh, and the LCD lights, it's true that they really are a mercury hazard) I read one article where the writer basically said she wanted the coal industry to be taxed.
confused Okay, why would you tax anybody in a bad economy? That's like pouring water on a grease fire. It just makes things worse. (For the record, if a grease fire ever happens, pour baking soda, not water)
On animal testing, I'm leaning towards anti. While I don't think we should start testing on humans, we gotta be humane. Besides with all the advances in technology, there should be alternatives. Speaking of advances in technology, what the heck is taking them so long to find a cure for breast cancer and diabetes? What are they doing in those labs?
I'm pro-First Amendment. Again, if it's in the Constitution, it should stick. I think political correctness is an attack on the First Amendment. Freedom of speech means freedom of speech, not exceptions!
Well, that's all folks! (Looney Tunes music plays)
