The exact same thing happened to me a while back.
You're going to have to send it in. :/ It'll cost like $80 if I remember correctly unless you still have your warranty.

Great News.
My Wii is back in commission. Only bad side is it fails to connect to the internet now, which I can live without.

something like that happened to me too. I got a SA2 for my Gamecube. I was doing GREAT when my power went out. the worst part, I didn't save. I was like, a quarter or 5/12 of the way from beating it. I got so pissed.
Lesson learned: Always save when you have the chance because you never know what could happen.
But... SA2 saves automatically.
I can't really remember what game it was.(my memeory is very random. I can remember stuff from when I was 2 and I can't remember what I ate for luch two weeks ago.) I'm just guessing it's a game that you manually save. Plus, I had no memory card back then.

If the power came on and off intermittently, it could have burnt the fuse in the power cord (that is, if it even has one in the first place...). If you find one, try replacing it.

RING OF DEATH. (or whatever the fawk you call it))
Damn, dude! Sorry but, thats sum sad but funny shiznit. Oh! I'm pretty sure the Red Ring of Death can be fixed. It happened to my friend, so he just called the company and they got him to send it in to get repaired.
