Rarely do my emotions jump then plummet so fast. I got so excited only to be forced into a deep depression literally 3 seconds later.

A new developer working on it scares me. The fact that they're just going to shove cutscenes in there instead of working on those awesome transitions scares me more. Using shortcuts likes that kinda shows they don't care about it too much. Seamlessly jumping from ground to air to orbit was a cool feature! Don't take that away!

I'd be happy with the classic pan down to a planet and show a spaceship flying to it... it'd feel more like Star Wars. >_>

I'm pretty psyched because I lost my CD key for BFII so I haven't been able to re-install it on my new computer. I hope they do it right, it looks like they were using the Force Unleashed engine. (Lol Narshida streets! I thought I was the only one who ever played that game...)

Edit: and yet, the shooting controls don't look like the Wii, unless it's using the classic controller or something.

So it's either a really handsome Wii game or a somewhat ugly PS3/360 game. Knowing Lucasarts it's probably the second.

I can see clearly enough to notice there's no fancy lighting effects.

Then again that might be because of the scale of the game.

Then again Warhawk could do it and it's on the PS3.

Edit: Okay I just compared it with footage of Haze.

This is probably an HD console game. I guess Free Radical's games never did look that great. It makes more sense this way anyway. This is an online game. It wouldn't make much sense on the Wii.

That hardly means it's ugly. We all agree that that nonsensical lighting mumbo jumbo is overrated and overused. With that said, none of the Battlefront games ever looked good for their time. The game involves large battle fields and a large number of AI bots, plus it's not an exclusive title. It's hard pushing a system to its limits when the game has to be optimized for at least 3 platforms.
