Question, if I may. I apologize if this isnt the proper place to ask.
When selling a game, what percentage do they give you on average?
PostPosted: Sun Jan 25, 2009 2:54 pm
it really depends on the game and if the database says it'll be easy to move. the percentage is based on that factor. so nobody knows.

Too low of a percentage. They're a ripoff.

wayne, it vary's, the one gamestop i got to, you could almost profit if you worked the system. everywhere else, they don't work the system for you. it TRULY depends SOLEY on the guys workin there.

my gamestop is the best gamestop. cool

unless i need to trade in retro stuff, in which case no gamestop does that.

Depends on the games, and the stock number. I have an unopened Gears of War, and that might get me $30. But if it were open, then like $20. So, if its also old and used, not much.

I'm pretty sure the "percentage" doesn't change. The only thing that changes is what they mark as the game's main value, and they sell the certain percent from that. 15% more if you choose store credit instead of Cash.

Gamestop really rips you off. I would advise not selling them anything. Try not to sell your games, but if you absolutely have to, do it online.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to go with the consensus of "GameStop is a rip".

Find a Game X Change or just sell them online.
