Did you two ever think that he was taking that standpoint for humor, and not because he really believed it? Then again, you guys put it best.

I tried looking at it like that.

It wasn't funny.

I just watched the whole thing for the Sonic cartoon (because I got bored and stopped like five minutes the first time) and I'm convinced he wasn't trying to be funny when he bashed the Adventures series. He was calling it a lazy, nonsensical mess. It MIGHT have been a ZeroPunctuation-esque review if he hadn't brought in Sonic SatAM as if some sort of contrast. As if it's better because it's dark. That makes the whole video even stupider.

Did you see the metaphor at the end with the grading? He was outright bashing it. He was SUPER serial.

God forbid we have anything abstract in our entertainment. Wait? Are you running around on an apple in this new Mario game? And how is he breathing in space? F. I give this an F because it's not realistic and gritty.

Yes. Now I am taking the show serious. Thanks for making me think I might be wrong so I'd go and watch the rest of the video and be completely reassured.
