There are 2 big Nintendo events this weekend.

Saturday 12p - 4p @ the World store is the Pokemon Platinum launch.
Kotaku article about the event.

Sunday 6p - 10p Club Nintendo Event. These are happening around the country, and if you have Platinum status on your Club Nintendo account, you should have gotten an invite last night. I'm hosting the one in NYC. There's also going to be more demos on Sunday the 29th as well.

Hope to see some Culties there.

Yeah. Everyone wants to be in the same state as T. (srs)
But yeah, I can't get any more Club Nintendo points since I...must have thrown away the codes. >******** yeah, this seems interesting. I'd like to go. xd

I always have trouble telling which forum stuff should be in. I've posted events in social before.

I do know the DSi stuff is in multiple locations/cities. My phone buddy is having an event in Philly. I'm sure there are other events around the country. I only know 100% about the district I'm in.

Ah, but seriously, yet again, my weekends are forever cursed.

1: Church on Saturdays.

2: I'm not even a Platinum Member on Club Nintendo...

My word... I'm gonna have my work cut out for me to even register more games for coins...

And I hear that GBA games won't count... ack.

HAR

I be a Platinum member.

Too bad I don't live in New York, huh?

I suppose it's just as well.

I have no interest in the DSi.

I haven't even added FE to my account yet.......

As far as retroactive coin credit, when I converted my account from My Nintendo to Club Nintendo, I was able to do surveys for games that are around 2.5 years old. They have a list of games that came out prior to 12/2008 that they will still give coins for. You can find them on the FAQ link under "product registration". (I was going to copy and paste them here, but the list was too long.)

Personally, I'm up to 1830 points. I'm afraid to order anything for the hope that some of the cooler stuff from Japan may make it here. Only thing is my points expire June of 2011. I don't want to miss out on something ok for the hope of something better that never comes.

From what I know, you only got an invite if you were close enough to an event. From the power point I got in my email yesterday, We're only holding the events in 30 markets. In my district, I know of 3 events; NYC, Brooklyn, and Philadelphia. But when talking to my DM last night, he mentioned San Jose and Chicago.

But yeah, I'm getting ready to head out to the Platinum launch soon. Taking the train in as usual means I need to leave 2 hours in advance. Tomorrow night's event, I won't be getting home until midnight.
