I'll take the liberty of being the first to post here since I did afterall suggest this subforum. So! Here's a poem of mine that I wrote about two years ago. It's up on a few other sites, so if you run across them, know that I am not spamming. biggrin

The Rainy Path

Standing at a crossroad
Here among the rain
No words to speak
For this familiar pain

Trying to find myself
As the rain is soaking through
Watching idly by
As the intangible
Slips on through

Nothing pulls at me
No force pushes through
I’m tired of these games
Tired of looking for something new

I’m changing
Becoming someone else
Like a mystery unfolding
The truth revealed anew

The simple question
“Who am I?”
The hidden answer
Deep within the lies

Like the revolving colors
In a crystal drop of rain
The person I’m becoming
Is not where I once came

Where the desire to vanish
Is stronger
Than the desire to appear
I disappear within a drop
Feelings hidden within a tear

Searching
Seeking
For a clue about myself
I find only holes
In the answers clearly showing

Like a deafened note
A single drop of rain
Falls upon my ear
The message lost
In silent pain

Soon the ceaseless chatter
Of students passing by
Will disappear like shadows
For nothing can remain the same

Happiness and courage
Two things I wish I had
The power to embrace the new
The strength to carry on

I want to take that first step forward
And smile into the light
But my questions hold me back
I’m being blinded by the rain

I’m searching for my answers
As I stand my ground
While my soul continues to wander
On the rainy path
