The main character sounds a little like Link.

The combat looks really fun, and the cocky way he sheathes the sword is so silly. It is almost as cool as TP Link's victory sheathe. The breaking your sword business doesn't look like much fun, but he fixed it somehow, so that is cool.

I like the platforming element. The map and the areas look like it won't be too hard to find your way around, 2D is awesome.

Finally the hand drawn art style is incredible. Computer graphics and polygons are nice, but visuals aren't all about how much technology you can cram into it. It is about what looks good, and that looks good.

I am excited.

Navigating looks like it'd be really confusing without a map.

The battle system's sweet though.

It looked to me like an on-screen map could be brought up at will.

That's what it looked like to me too. So it's not a problem. I just get confused when 2D games have a 3D sense of navigation.
