I strongly disagree with this.

I'm sure someone has said it already but I'll say it as well.

By denying the existence of God you are denying that God is real. You are not denying that the thought or idea of God exists.

It would be like denying Ender's Game (good book) is a true story, you're not denying that the story exists you're just denying that the events in the story actually took place.

I believe you are referring to a kind of antitheism. Atheism mainly is the belief that "god does not exist", whereas antitheism can be an opposition to god, which, intrinsically, is not atheistic, but rather a rejection of a being the existence of which the antitheist acknowledges.

If you say that you believe in yourself, you're indirectly identifying yourself as an Atheistic Satanist (don't worry it's not a bad thing). I don't think that's what you intend to do, though.
