I haven't seen it yet. But I saw the full trailer and I thought it looked pretty good. I want to watch it someday.

i loved the acting...~ i can see another nominated for best cinematography... really moved me when the guy had met the journalist and he worshipped him as a god but only because it was his first ever friend... i think most of us musicians can get schizophrenia and start talking to ourselves? or is that just me? But really... touching~
i love the movie "the soloist" it is sad but has such a good meaning and lesson throughout the whole thing!!!

ever since i saw the previews for that movie i knew i had to see it. and i DEF was not disappointed when i saw it. and i cant believe jamie fox is actually playing cello and violin. he had to take lessons months before filming to make it look real unlike other shows or movies where the actor/actress is clearly faking. but the whole story is heartfelt. but i'm glad for him that he never lost that love for music even tho he lost most of his mind. music is one of the best things for the mind. has anyone read the book? OH! there was an interview a few months ago with the actually guy the movie/book is based on. it was ad because they showed when he went off. but they also showed him when he was at peace playing cello and violin
Ohmygoshh. That was such an amazing movie. Ive always wanted to play cello so badly. And it was so touching and sad. And i didnt know there was a book. I want to read it! I love comparing books to movies.
