My dad was a Star Wars fan, my mom was married to him for like 6 years. When the new Star Wars films came out she said: "What is Star Wars?"

I was like WTF HOW CAN YOU NOT KNOW? Even I was forced to watch them when I was a kid, I assumed she'd have watched them too since Dad was a fan.


........As far as Tron goes. I actually didn't like it for the longest time. Mainly because I didn't really understand the storyline...and the people were really creepy to me. rofl But, yeah.

I actually met somebody once who'd never seen Star Wars. She was aware of it and knew what it was, but she'd never seen it. xp

I hadn't heard of it either........ I read the wikipedia like 4 times and I still cant get the story straight... So here's what I got:

Some guy makes video games on the system mainframe where he works, which are stolen by some guy and used to get a promotion- then it gets fuzzy. Somehow he turns into a video game character, and meets some guys named tron and ram... then he gets out.

me too, but I was like that with most adult films (not porn) it wasn't til I was older that I understood what was going on.

yeah there are the few that havn't seen them but they are so few and far inbetween. It still begs the question, why havn't they still not seen at least one.

Yeah, that's pretty much it. The details are very computer-oriented, so if you're not a computer geek, it might be difficult to grasp. Flynn gets sucked into the computer when he tries to steal back the program that was original his. The only way out is to defeat the Master Control program that the corporate thief installed. He gets help from a security program from the original software: Tron. surprised Does that help?

Yeah I couldn't believe that my little brother had never heard or Tron till it was introduced in Kingdom Hearts 2. I was floored I thought everyone had seen this movie. I saw it when I was young and understood the gist of it myself but I didn't think that was odd, but at the same time I'm a weirdo.

No Ty it wasn't just them "cruising" around because at the end remember the guy on the ground says, "You won alright it's just a game." So they were actually playing so they've added curves to it. Which I don't think is as hard as calculating going in straight lines and having to stick to those straight lines and making those sharp turns and such to end your opponents race.

Okay Miller you've got the main gist of it and like purple says it's rather computer-oriented cause after all you go into a computer system for the majority of the movie. One guy makes kick a** games another guy stole his idea and turned it in as his own boss gives him promotion other guy (the guy that actually created the program) gets the boot from the corp. (That's if I'm remembering that part right) Anyway, he sneaks back into the Corp. to the lap and this device activates that turns him into computer data and sucks him into the program. He learns that the system has changed since he created it and is now run by MCP or Master Control Program. However, he gets help from a security program he'd original installed into the software which I believe that was named Tron.

Around this time I believe another of his friends and like his girlfriend get sucked into the system as well because MCP couldn't seem to stop the main software developer guy so figured with this leverage he'd be able to destroy the "creator" of the program and won't be turned off. Well the "creator" teams up with his friends and Tron to reach MCP and then the "creator" and Tron go in and defeat MCP and his little evil villain body guard RAM (I think that was what the red guy was called). Then they are all able to escape the program and live happily. Anyway, that's the general gist of the movie. Does that help?
