@Orph: Here, we seperate our parts of Aus into States andd Territories. There are more states, so I refer to areas within a country generally as states. Example: I am in the state of NSW.

Canada doesn't have states. It's not called the United States of Canada. The United States has states.

Yeah, we're the United Provinces and Territories of Upper North America. But that was just too damn hard to remember so we just started calling it Canada.
