The middle name of Lily was given to him because his older sister, Lily, ran away a few days before he was born. Lily, at the time Matthew was born, was 12 years old and was already training an Eevee of her own.

Because of that, Kat has a lot of random Pokemon to hang out with. She hasn't trained any, but she'll start her adventure soon, and they'll definitely be a force to be reckoned with.

Background - Pern and his family moved from region to region. It was for Politics and his father was an ambassador of some sort. Pern never cared for his father's work, because it took him way from his family which he cared soo much about. Pern verily knew anything of his father's past only that he had once challenged the pokemon league. His father also had great respect for trainers and people with a goal in life and a drive to complete that goal. So Pern set off on a journey to become a champion like his father had once dreamed for himself. This way his father would again want to be with him. That is how the adventure started.......
