Which do you like better, romance or mystery? or neither? if neither, what genre?

I find both romance and mystery to be frivolous wastes of life, time, and money. They are shallow, and for entertainment purposes only, when the time spent with such could be instead spent bettering oneself, by reading philosophy or literature, my genres of choice.

I would have to say a mix of the two, because just mystery produces a kind of dry reading experience, and romance alone is sort of shallow. A mix of both would certainly make for an exiting and deep read.

I agree with Rika. Both would be very good, but if one is by itself, it would get boring FAST.

I'm torn between Rika's and Neptune's stances. I don't really like either, but when they are together, it like, becomes something different, which makes it less bad.

Eh, they're both pretty good. Although I despise reading romance, I also despise reading Mystery. Why not both? It could be a good combination. Dunno, haven't come across something like that.

Both actually. Only, I prefer mystery over mystery. Both would really make a good story if fused.

Mystery, however a mystery with some romance can be a good read.

Mystery! Hate romance as a genre, though I don't mind a bit of romance in different genres I guess. It's kind of hard to come up with books without any romance in them at all.
