And honestly... if anyone ever tells you you're not ethical, then ask him on which ethic's grounds. End of story. xd

Well there are some cases.

There are individuals that just slip by the justice system be it social status, power, money, etc. A person high in any of these selections would be able to slide out the cracks unscaved. There are of course the people that threaten others with physical contact to the point of insanity, and then there are the gears that just absolutely refuse to "fit" right into the clocks...if you know what I mean.

You should really see the show Dexter.

People keep telling me to watch that.

My problem with the death penalty is that we can never 100% know that someone is guilty. Hundreds of people have been released off of death row since the discovery of DNA evidence-That, to me, is scary. What if we find another form of evidence 20 years from now that does the same thing? I don't want my taxpayer dollars going toward the killing of innocent people.

I'm sorry, I'll have to agree with this woman on this one, some people are better off dead. It's not like people can't kill other people while being in jail.

However, I don't think all of the people in those genocided cities should have been put to death.

why?
just because they are twisted people, doesnt mean they deserve to die
i do agree with you about jail though, we should seriously get some better prison security

Yeah, I mean, what's the point of dealing with these uncorrectable people?
Well, who decides who's uncorrectable and who's just mentally unstable?

Psychiatrics, apparently.
Who would you trust to judge whether you should be put to death or not in that situation?

A judge that abides by the constitution.

Why do you ask anyway? neutral

Then you probably end up dead.

I ask because I wouldn't let another person decide whether or not I die based on some set of rules that apply only to the majority of cases.
Not willingly at least.

And I probably don't!

The system can be a b***h, I know. Nobody can be 100% sure if a person is a loon or just plain stupid. Besides, if you live in a country where other people decide wheter you die or not via a legal court, then you're screwed. The only thing you can do about it is to buy yourself an island, call it a new nation, make and apply your own rules and stick by them.
