Sports:
Pros:
-Gives you muscle I guess
-Keeps you active
-Certain Scholarships reward you for being a good player

Cons:
-Damn near impossible to find a job solely relating to sports
-You're not going to play sports as you get older. I don't care what you say, you won't.
Notable examples include all of the PE teacher(some say they played a lot of sports. Assuming that they're right, you rarely, if at all, see them play any sport at their age).
-Because of the above two reasons listed, it becomes a useless skill later in life.

Games: (and this is if you're an actual gamer. You're not a gamer if you only play lame shooter games like GoW/Halo/CoD/ etc. once or twice a week for only 15 minutes)
Pros:
-You'll still be playing games deep into your life as an adult(hell this could even apply to those who aren't even gamers).
-Unlike Sports, you could actually find a career in gaming
-If you're smart and you actually analyze the games, it could slowly draw you in into how technology actually works out. Thus granting you an ability in technology that 99% of the world lacks, thus granting you millions of money, thus granting your more games.
-Depending on the game, it could keep your brain very much active(and as we all know, Brainpower>>>>>musclepower).
-Like the above, it could also help you develop better logic.
-Games are more interesting than playing with a bunch of roid-raging people. Plus, unlike sports, there's actually room for joking around.

Cons:
-Because of how stupid society is, you'll be forced into having a degraded social life, because games aren't "cool."
-Inactive lifestyle could lead to a decline in one's health.
-No scholarships for success in gaming, as far as I know.

I think this pretty much covers it.

Oh hi. Lets Pokebattle

Except that no one plays this for more than a week or two.
lol

Plus, most of the people who do play this, aren't really gamers at all. It's usually "mom" that would play this, or the "next-door neighbor" from the party. sad
Which is why I didn't list this at all.

I play it, and I consider myself a gamer. I play different kinds of games.

What i don't like is most anti game people say "Its boring ans stupid"
People have there favorite ways to entertain themselves. Some people like sports, other movies, and games.
video games give you a chance to live a life outside of possiblilities. Don't believe me? Go into a walmart wearing a wizard hat and ask for there strongest battle axe.
Everything people do have pros and cons, i just don't understand y ppl are so protective of what there against.
Some people can't play sports or kleave the house too much, so what are they supposed to do?
Some people also say "Sports and movies are constantly changing, but games remain the same." WRONG!
Compare an NES to a PS3, find 3 similarities.
Just like people have favorite sports teams, gamers have favorite "game" teams (bethesda, naughy dog ect.) so they hav stuff to argue about, like which is a better game while sporties are arguing who shouldn't won last night.
((lol this is long))
Some sports people also have saying Sports have more varity, but so do games! Shooter,RPG,dungeon, racing, ect.
now to movie watchers:
They say "We have expectations and we look forward to something!"
God of war III, MAG, Mass Effect 2, all of these are anticipated so we have the same thrill.
They also say. "In a game you can die, but in a movie the main character doesn't die unless theey have to!"
When you die in a game, you know if it was a movie than thats NOT the way they would've done it.

i'm pro-gamer because i'm the only gamer where i live, relying on online mostly, so its me against the world proving video games arent nerdy or uneventful

"To be a man you must honor. Honor and a PEEEEEEEnis..."

Oops wrong one.

To be a gamer you must have honor. Honor and a mastery of all types of games.

NES to PS3 similarities:
1. You can play games on each of them.
2. (For their respective times) They were both part of a massive consumer war.
3. They both contain games which will (for their own reasons) be remembered as the "greatest game of all time".

I win, cake please.
