Yes, MCs are much crappier than they used to be. However, it seems they go in cycles of good and bad ideas over each year. Of course, they won't be as great as the older ones, because those were originals, not repeats of old ones. Also, newer ones that are good are made lame by everyone overusing them. Liiiike.... The Chyaku Norisu Scarf when it came out. So.... They're trying, but are pretty much running out of ideas of half the year.

And the Cash Shop...... It was a semi-nice little idea...... Until EVERYTHING good is in there only. And they're just overboard on prices and items in there. $750 for one little set of pixels is retarded. Also, everything in there is inflated insanely when put in the market, because they're money-exclusive.

Spam mail.... That's really not Gaia's fault..... So.... Yeah. That's not Gaia slipping, that's assholes trying to screw people over.

So, in the end, anything popular will get screwed over from people trying to jump on the bandwagon without any idea how to drive it, like crazy fanboys/girls.... And there will be others who try to screw it over simply because it's popular.... And corporation-type things will always screw things over, as they turn things more money-oriented instead of creative.

I think the thing I hate about gaia the most these recent years is that it's more about the money than the actual community.

I'm not going to say I dislike the cash shop items. i dislike the idea of the cash shop because it's just like every other site you go on now.

But you know.. gaia creators noticed there was a lot more people joining the community so they took the chance and decided to make money off it.

I mean they changed the monthly donation letters to the monthly collectibles because the profit they were making was from people buying the items, not donating... plus the demand for more of them each much probably was what set it off.

Like if gaia was that bad, then people who complain all the time wouldn't come on any more. They'd quit like a lot of oldbies.. though many have been coming back lately.

As for me, I like some of the changes, like when they brought in fishing to help members make more gold and then the casino games. That was the starting points of the changes of gaia. I think I joined shortly after gaia changed from gogaia.com (correct me if I am wrong on that) to gaiaonline.com

It kinda annoyed me when they changed that, cuz it was double the typing, and my hands had the muscle memory of typing "go-gaia, ctrl+enter" so well-ingrained into them..... sweatdrop
