xoxoxoxoxoxo Archangel Uriel

Uriel gazed down upon heaven through eyes of obsidian, the news he'd just heard causing his handsomely pale face to be etched with worry. God had heard the little boy's plea for help but Angels weren't allowed to interfere with the course of human life, that privilege was left to God alone. Instead Uriel had been instructed to rally the angels to find the Demon responsible. Such a thing was in their power to do, but even then, was it worth it to go to such lengths for the soul of a mere boy? Ever Since that child was born God had favored him above all other humans, assigning over two hundred angels to guard him.

Uriel was not one to question the Lord, but he did feel something wasn't quite right. With so many Angels looking out for him, how had such an incident occurred in the first place and why? Something was most certainly wrong with this picture of perfection. None the less, Uriel had a job to do, and he would carry out his tasks without fail.

His voice rang out loud and clear through the heavens as he introduced the terrible situation to all the angels down below. Of course he'd made it so only those who were guardians of the boy would hear him.

"It is now our responsibility. Something like this should never have happened in the first place. Free the boy's pure soul from its eternal torment by finding the demon which has hidden itself on earth." Uriel paused, his golden eyes glistening like diamonds in heaven's light. "The devil is mocking us, tearing a pure soul from its earthly body right under our noses as if it were as easy as taking candy from a child. We have been horribly disgraced and humiliated, but we have been given the chance to redeem ourselves, fix our mistakes and save the one who has given us all so much faith in mankind. This hellish opponent is not to be taken lightly though, since it is a demon after all. It would be wise to work together in groups. Since there are so many of you that shouldn't be a problem. Be warned though, we wont be the only ones looking for souls, so be on your guard at all times." With a last nod and an elegant bow he vanished in a flash of golden light, leaving the angels to commence their most important mission.

xoxoxoxo Methuselah

Blood splashed across Methuselah's chest as he hacked away at Unholy Divinity's face with his scythe. The crickets hidden in the wheat fields chirped with applause at the squelching noise that echoed across the land as Unholy Divinity's body was mangled beyond recognition.

A piece of flesh flew through the air and hit the bark of a nearby elm tree. The elm wept.
Silent to all those who cared not to listen.

Methuselah was overjoyed. After years of searching he had finally gathered the soul of god's favored son. The Messiah. A fact which even god himself had kept from the two hundred angels he had ordered to guard Unholy Divinity. Methuselah let out a sigh of content. He wanted to enjoy the brief moments of exhilaration he was experiencing before the hunt began. The hunt to find the one who had murdered god's son.

Methuselah's enjoyment want interrupted by the sound of thunder, far of into the distance. Clouds started to roll in across the sky towards him. He knew, the time had come for him to flee, for the wrath of two hundred angels was not something he could withstand alone. Methuselah stood gazing at the sky, watching the clouds grow thicker and fill with light.

The clouds parted and beams of light shot down from the heavens, temporarily blinding Methuselah. Methuselah fell down to the ground trying to recover his sight. A Gregorian choir started singing. Methuselah started to panic. Another few moments and he would feel the pain, worse than hell.

Methuselah used his scythe and opened up the earth, exposing the tunnels of the underworld, of which only the fallen could traverse. Methuselah lept down into the tunnels and uttered the spell that was needed to reseal the earth.

The earth sealed as Uriel and his army of two hundred angels descended and set foot upon the earth.

xoxoxoxoxoxo Archangel Uriel

Folding his six wings, Uriel rushed over to the dismembered body. The body itself was cut beyond recognition, in fact you could barely tell it was once human, but it was most certainly the boy, he could feel it. The sight was gruesome to behold, many of the tender loving Angels weren't able to stand the sight, doubling over in agony. A physical body could be easily fixed but the soul had already been stolen from this one.

"We were too late, even with Gabriel's predictions we weren't fast enough..." he cursed under his breath. Under the circumstances, the Seraph felt it was necessary to move the body. Such a pure-hearted boy should not be left in such a state. That and meat rotted faster than most thought. With tender hands he lifted what remained of the boy's corpse, using divine force to gather all the stray pieces. He tried to imagine that adorable smile that had once lit the bruised and bloody mess that was now Unholy Divinity's face, but the current image was too permanently etched into his mind to think such things.

The crimson liquid, the essence of life itself now seeped onto the Seraphs hands, down his strong arms, dripping like a broken tap onto the cold heartless earth below. Blood. The very presence of it made him ill. Turning to one of the nearby Angels, he placed the body gently in their arms. "Take this body back to heaven, have Raphael take a look at it."

Without a second glance to see if the Angels had gone or not, Uriel began searching for clues, evidence, and without fail he found it. Scorch marks on the ground and a piece of thick black hair were the only things he could find, but it was enough. He examined it carefully, Angels eyes were much more perceptive than those of a humans after all. It was a very peculiar hair to say the least, consisting of various traces of earth, water, and even a dead louse. The reason this was odd was because Demons, unless they were extremely powerful, couldn't live on earth. They could walk there for short periods of time to cause havoc but they were not made to withstand the pressure of the outside world. The answer was significantly narrowed down to a hundred or so Demons, but still questions remained.

Why had one of the banished felt the need to kill a single human boy? Why had none of the two hundred angels assigned to him been with him when it happened? It was too far fetched to write it off as slacking off or they were all on break at the same time. Even if that were the case, the fact that the demon would just happened to attack the boy in those moments was so unlikely it would have to have been...

"An act of God." He paused in his thoughts, unable to piece it together. He turned to the Angels who had followed him down, his cold obsidian eyes ever analyzing, piercing through them with a know it all stare. He wouldn't be allowed to tell them any of his thoughts directly, so he had to figure out a way to make them think it on their own.

"I thank you all for your support." He began. This would be the best way, Angels were too caring for their own good. Giving them orders was all good but i they decided to carry out a task on their own, the results would be much better. "But we have failed in protecting the boy. A disgrace to heaven that two hundred angels couldn't protect one child or even capture the one responsible. The Banished has fled to hell. there is nothing more I can instruct you to do." He smiled to them, any of them with half the intellect of a human would be able to see how strange the incident was now, even if they didn't care for the little human boy, the rewards attached to the retrieval of such a pure soul would be enough to become one of the favored.

Even among Angels there was the shadows of corruption in the hierarchy. No one was created equal, no one was equally loved by God. They knew it, the Angels did, and yet every moment they would serve the lord, striving endlessly for his eternal affection. "It's that affection that makes us strive for the salvation of humanity." He thought, gazing up at the fading storm above. He had left some clues to help any who wished to try their hand at finding the soul, one being that he wouldn't interfere with them, two being that the demon was one of the banished, and third was that if you could find a way to sneak into hell or get a connection to hell you could find him. It was enough for any of them to start off, the motives were irrelevant to him, as long as that soul was returned to them.

Peitho, the fallen angel

It has been long since Peitho heard the Angel's call.

Over the decades she learned to ignore it, as she no longer felt as being one of them. Her fall was painful both physically and mentally, and no angel came to help her. To rescue her.... She was alone, she chose this path after the death of her loved one. God did not help, so she will not help god anymore.

Ever since the fall, she was alone, a being of now two worlds, stuck in the third. Her anger made her a being of Hell, yet her love kept her as a being of Heaven. Only by destroying another side, could she return to either Heaven of go to Hell. But now she was stuck in the middle. The human world. She still kept her powers, her hair changed from red to blue according to her mood, and she used them often, without worrying about the consequences.

All angels are connected, and even after her fall she could still hear, sense, feel them. She didn't want to. It was agony for her, it represented the connection she had with that world. Therefore, there was only one thing to do, and she crushed it, she destroyed the connection to Heaven.

But something terrible must have happened. She could feel his pain, his loss. She could also feel something......something that wasn't usual to angels. She felt anger, doubt... And a strong motif, as if a promise to himself....That attracted her to him.

She appeared from the woods, walking barefoot..... Uriel. He was there, he must have been the one she sensed. She was calm, her hair was blue, as it was during her angel years. For once she wasn't angry, she was just curious.

She walked over and stopped, facing him. "It's been a while since I felt anything else than affection for God and for humans in an angel." She smiled. There was no purity in her smile. There was seduction and curiosity. "Well, well... Curious about the dark side somehow?

xoxoxoxoxoxo Jazmariye Lagasse

jazmariye had heard uriel's speech, and she had been close enough to see the mangled corpse that had been the poor boy. she wondered how anyone, anything could do something so atrocious to any living being. animals being slaughtered were killed much cleaner than that boy had been, and seeing it was almost enough to turn even her strong stomach. after uriel left, she turned to her companion, melaniye. 'we should see if we can at least get a good scent of the demon who did this, then it will be a lot easier for us to find him.' jazmariye said. 'well, that shouldn't be too difficult,' said melaniye, ' i can smell the stench from here. i doubt that he's washed in the whole time he's been alive...though we could probably find something more identifying if we searched the area. i bet uriel found something when he was looking around...but i bet that my nose is keener than his is, too.' completely ignoring the other angels, most of whom were still just standing there gawking, jazmariye and melaniye scoured the area, using all of their senses to find anything and everything that would help them to identify the monster who had done this.
