I'm definitely a fan. I don't have any single favorite song, but "Folsom Prison Blues" is definitely up there... "The Man in Black" is great too.

Well, I don't really listen to him, but there is a bit of a family joke about him.

Every Christmas eve, when we read Night Before Christmas, for one line we read, "And there on the lawn stood Johnny Cash!". It makes more sense if you read the whole thing, but I don't remember it at the moment.

No offence to any fans, though. It's all meant in light heartedness.

My favorite's probably his cover of Hurt.

I guess the question is who "isn't" a fan of Johnny Cash.

and ya. As for the cover of Hurt. he definitely made that version way better than NIN or whatever artist originally did it. Though I did hear from somewhere, and this is very based off of myth... But he was the originator and just gave the lyrics to some artist, where it in turn got into the hands of NIN. Again, this is all based on myth. I doubt it's true, but we can all be hopeful, right?

Trent Reznor wrote it, Cash asked if he could cover it in 2002.

ya. I know, but it was just a little myth I heard that made me have some chuckles.
