An Angel’s Mission

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed by Thy name


My name is Azrael.


Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done


I am an angel in Heaven.


On Earth as it is in Heaven


I am assigned humans on Earth that are in need of rescue.


Give us this day our daily bread


Whatever the cause of their death is predicted to be.


And forgive us our trespasses


I have never lost a human, nor did I ever plan to lose one.


As we forgive those who trespass against us


But recently, I was assigned a young girl.


And lead us not into temptation


Who seems doomed to die.


But deliver us from evil


And it seems I cannot stop it.
