Slightly off topic, in Pokemon Stadium and the first gen, it was also the belief that mashing A made your attacks stronger, and mashing B made the opponents attack take off less damage.

I've found that Ultra Balls in Platinum are the worst balls in the game.

Here it was just pressing down on A. While the Pokemon was in the ball.

I always just rapidly tapped A when ever the Pokemon was in the Pokeball, although i knew it didn't do anything.

I still do this even though I know it does nothing.
