I bought my girlfriend a set of angel wings for her birthday, and I want to make it so that she can put them on whatever shirt or jacket, etc., that she'd like.

Any suggestion as to how I could go about this?

The wings are small, only 8 inches across. I bought her a 2-foot pair, too, but they have ribbons to tie around the arms and I doubt one could affix that to a shirt very comfortably.

Saftey pins?

stitch them onto the back of the wings.

I think safety pins would be your best bet, as well. 3nodding

For really big safety pins, think diaper pins ...

you could also use bits of clear elsastic to go around the arms, because its clear elastic it won't be as noticable

they also have super-large safety pins at craft stores (such as Michael's), like 3" across...heavy duty little things...

You could probably buy really big brooch pins and attach them to the wings. They might sit better than just safety pins.

I saw a girl on Craftster who made butterfly wings with 2 large wire hooks for fastening. The hooks went over her shoulders, and she wrapped feather boas around them. Its a very obvious fastener, but a very pretty one!

EDIT: Oh, and I tried the safety pin idea with a very small pair of batwings I made. Doesn't work, the weight of the wing just pulls on your shirt and the wing flips upside-down.

I once made wings, you can use elastic, that worked well for me, or sew them onto a vest, but that option may not work for you.
