Civilian Apartment Complex (Rini's Home)

[Koneko Kuromira]

This building lies in the heart of the more civilian-oriented district of Kirigakure no Sato. Here, on the third floor -- apartment number 311 -- lives Rini Chikongou with her civilian mother Kirin. It is a rather humble apartment, with photographs of their family -- all deceased except for Rini and Kirin -- scattered everywhere. It is decorated in soft earthy tones, angled for the warm comfort of home.

Upon entry, the decently-sized kitchen is to the right, through which lies the breakfast area. A low wall that doubles as a sort of bar area separates the kitchen from the living room to the left. Further on down the hallway lies three bedrooms and two bathrooms, with an alcove for the washing machine and dryer hidden behind a sliding door. The closest room serves as an office space for Rini's studies. It is connected through a shared bathroom to her bedroom, which is kept meticulously clean. The farthest room down the hall and the connected bathroom belongs to her mother Kirin.


NOTE!!! This building is severely damaged from the recent attack on the Mist Village. Repairs MUST be made before anyone can move in or continue living here.

Rini stared about in horror at the destruction of the civilian quarter -- the spikes of bone that appeared to have grown everywhere. Her heart hammered in her chest, stomach coiling into nervous knots. This could not be good. Only her promise to Luna's clone kept her from jumping from the wolf and frantically racing ahead to her apartment building. Instead, she forced herself to sit still, eyes focused ahead and hands clutching her loose pants legs.

Later than she would have liked, the building came into view -- or what was left of it. The blood drained from Rini's face as she gazed at the rubble, mouth slightly parted and breath caught in her throat. She blinked slowly, silently praying that what she was seeing was not real -- that when she opened them again the building would be whole and complete with her mother smiling and waving from the third floor window. But it was not so. The scene did not change.

The wolf stopped close enough to the wreckage to feel the fire from the flames caused by the bones that went through all the building. Luna's clone clenched her fist and she looked at Rini. "As a clone I have my limitations, but Ill do what I can. Stay here." Luna activated her Byakugan, looking through the wreckage. She could see everything, the fallen debri, the fire, the ash, everything, but no human signature. She thought to herselfThis dosn't look good, All of a sudden, Luna sensed a human signature under a bunch of wood on the second floor, it would be dangerous. Luna grabbed Rini and put her on her back "I found someone who could be your mom, but theyre under an unstable structure, we need to be careful." Luna climbed the debri outside to the second floor and put Rini on the ground. She found the debri, and Kira had crawled up through the rubble and helped life the large debri off the woman who was unconcious and bleeding. "Rini, you'll want to see this."

Rini nodded, feeling numb. She opened her mouth to speak -- only to close it again when no sound issued forth. It took her a moment to realize she was shaking, and she forced herself to be still, tightening her jaw. Calm. She had to remain calm. She could not break, not when her sensei needed her alert and ready to help. When Luna's clone found something and took Rini into the building, she moved carefully, testing each step before taking it, even when the woman was uncovered.

Tears sprang up into Rini's eyes and she rushed to the woman's side as quickly as safely possible. "Mom! Mom!" She dropped to her knees, trying to keep her hands still as she checked for a pulse. The woman's skin was cold -- almost too cold -- but she felt it, the faint beating of a heart. Rini gasped. "She's alive! B-barely, but alive!"

Luna jumped next to the woman and put her on Kira's back. "Rini, come on, we have to get her back to the mansion, I cant do much for her here. She put Rini on Kira's back and the woman on my back as Kira and I jumped out fo the collapsing building, running towards Sung mansion.

Rini held on tight to Kira, not taking her eyes off of her mother as if for fear that the woman would vanish if she did. Please be okay, she silently willed, chewing on her lower lip. Kirin looked pretty bad -- her once-lovely brown hair matted with blood and dust and her skin and clothes not much better. She looked far too pale in Rini's opinion, but the gennin still held on to hope. Kirin would pull through this; she had to.

"Suffering Is Optional....Pain is Inevidable"

Kirin came to the apartments after having his visit with the Mizukage and began his search for room 312 as he walked down the rows. '310' '311' "...312..." He said to himself as he came upon a door with the exact numbers. Kirin insterted the key into the keyhole and turned the knob, opening the door to the room that he will be staying at. He walked in and turned the light on, seeing that the place wasn't bad at all. There was a bed just by the wall, just what he needed at the moment. The shinobi walked over to the bed and lyed down, resting himself before he was to return to the Mizukage.

((Yeah, but I'm not talking about badly conditioned. I'm talking about falling apart. As in the third floor is now mostly in the second floor, which is barely holding itself up above the first floor . . . As in the place is condemned until it can be rebuilt. >_<))

Kirin got off the floor which didn't turn out to be the appartments at all. It was all just a mirage. His clothes were a little dirty but he was fine. "Hmm...guess i was that tired." He told himself as he then walked off to the marketplace. Perhaps he was tired enough to put himself in a genjutsu.
