Anime con.

I am excited because I will go to anime con. It will be my first time.

Any suggestion?

1: Don't go all out on a cosplay idea the first time.
You'll want to check the place out first and make sure that the temperature isn't to hot for the idea you had.

2: Same thing for renting a room if it's at a hotel.
Make sure you enjoy it, or the location itself doesn't completely suck, before you sink too much money into it. (drive home and then back again if it's more then one day)
[NOTE, if you do get your own room, bring your own pillows, sheets and blankets - never completely trust the hotel staff to clean perfectly, or NOT steal your stuff - also bring entertainment for the "after event" hours]

3: BRING AS MUCH MONEY AS POSSIBLE.
Highest number 20. never try to use 50s or 100s.
And always keep all of it on you.

4: if you buy something that's plastic (or easily damaged by heat), do NOT leave it in the hot car. (even if it's a pain to carry - try clipping the bag handles to a belt) You don't want it to melt in the car.

5: Bring something to drink, and eat. Not alot, but like one bag that can be hung on your shoulder. (extra if you stay the night there)

6: Also considder a change of clothes (or 2)
You do NOT want to be walking around all sweaty the whole day. (change in the bathroom if you have too)

7: BRING A CAMERA !!!
You WILL want to take pictures of cool costumes.
But make sure that there aren't any "no pictures" restrictions in particular rooms first. Like the venders room. (some of them don't like pictures taken of their stuff)

8: Bring a small book.
If the convention has celebrity guests, you can get their autographs in it, instead of on a stupid little piece of paper or the conventions event list booklet.

Oh oh I've got something to add too...

Do around to check out the tables see what interest you keep it in mind but keep going. Often times the same item can be found at different rates at different tables. Not always but a good number of the time or at least I've found that to be true. So browse around, make mental note of it, then once done BUY at cheaper booth.

And finally like purple says HAVE FUN!!! After all that's what an anime con is all about. ^_^

And my mom would like to add one: "prepay for the ticket when you can so you don't pay so much for it when you get to the registration desk"
