Yup, it's another one of those threads, except I am capable of typing and spelling correctly.
Past;
I've known this boy since our parents became friends. His name is David and has always had a crush on me. We dated once for a week when we were 12 and I ended it because there was no point when we never talked or saw each other.
Last year, I got arrested in school and for other reasons linked to that, I transferred schools. And David currently goes to the school I am going to. Last year I had a class with him, and he still had a crush on me and asked me out multiple times, I declined since I was in an online relationship (of 4 years. ~_~ Yeah, I know what you are thinking, but a lot of s**t happened so I gave up on real life relationships.) and told David to give up trying to get me to be his.
Current;
This year, we also have a class together. I told him in person that I do like him quite a lot and he just asked questions like "how come you like me all of a sudden" and "what do you mean you like me?" Which I believe are stupid questions, but I did answer them and other questions in full detail.
Two days ago I asked him out, he said that he never lost feelings for me but is now in a relationship with another girl and said that we could still be friends, but if I hated him he would understand and wished me a happy life. I replied to that asking if he thought I was an idiot and that I would not give up, also I explained the disadvantages of having an online relationship and that he would be much better off with me. (Disadvantages such as not being able to see, touch, go on dates, kiss, hug, etc them.)
And his reply? Well, it wasn't a pretty one. After I read the first sentence of the note, I stopped reading, tensed up, and stayed completely silent for the rest of class...
"You know Abbie, you're right. She can't do all of those things but she makes me happy, that's more than I can say for you..."blahblahblah skipskipskip "Abbie you have changed but I'm not sure if it's a good change because I really don't want to see you back on drugs...but here's a question, why after all these years are you so crazy about me 'cause it looks to me that you're making me sloppy seconds...or a rebound person..."
I replied (to much to type, I might put it later) and now I'm not sure if I should even keep trying for him...
I broke up with my online boyfriend (of 4 years!) for him and he still thinks I'm making him sloppy seconds...I cannot explain why I got these feelings now instead of earlier when he liked me back, but I am just confused and wish I was a guy or just wish I knew what he was thinking....
Please help, anyone. D: I am not being all emo about this, I just don't know where this could take me or if I should just stop trying.
EDIT
And also, his best friend (Chris) and his girlfriend (and also my friend, Hunter) believe that he would be much better with me and that we would make a cute couple but his other friend (who I'm pretty sure hates me ~_~") feels that I should just back off because he is really happy.
Okay! The worst part about it being an online relationship is that it is on some PWI game. Apparently it is like a free version of WoW for the computer, so all they do is chat with each other over this game every day!

Gundam Arashi Leaving someone just to be with someone else I really do not agree with, but that is besides the point. I would suggest taking it easy for a while, let everything settle down, and try again later on. Worked for me, and I am actually pretty happy with myself right now, even if I don't really express it. On a separate note As for the whole 'got arrested in school' bit really irks me, I've worked with police for the past 5 years, racking up over 300 hours of community service, and kept my record clean, though I will admit to having done some really stupid s**t.
Well I worked my ******** a** off to get what I did off my record, and haven't done anything since.
Well, my boyfriend was a douche. All he ever talked about was sex. I mean, he wanted me to be a porn star! So I wanted to for the longest time...one day I came home and couldn't get the other boy outta my head (David) and my bf (at the time) just completely went over the top. So it isn't like I am just switching from guy to guy; I'm pretty ******** sure my reasons were completely legit.
