GACKT CAMUI is a 37 year old Japanese solo artist (hurrr bet you didn't know that already!) that started his career in CAINS:FEEL, advancing on to Malice Mizer with a visual kei approach and going solo in 1999. This means he had his 10th year anniversary last year! ♥
With 13 studio albums and 40 singles, GACKT has quite a dedicated fanbase. The fanclub and its members are called DEARS. They organize GACKT-related events, work as volunteers at the venues, sets up competitions and much more.
Currently GACKT is playing in the samurai live theater Nemuri Kyoshiro back in Japan, after having ended his very long tour national- and international tour. New Camui Gakuensai dates have been added to his schedule for October and November.

→ YELLOW FRIED CHICKENZ
YFC is a mock/parody band that makes me think about Metalocalypse. Here, GACKT is not a solo artist, but merely a member of a band, and they cover GACKT's solo songs. The concept of YFC was originally to be a MEN ONLY show in Japan - as an attempt to help them finding their inner samurai spirit, wanting men to step up more! However, the show was a huge success and an extremely popular national tour was conducted.
The YFC concerts are hot, stuffy and much more intense than usual. GACKT is connecting with the audience more than ever, and makes them scream off the top of their lungs for the most part of the show.
Due to GACKT's change from Nippon Crown to Avex a door opened for him to take YFC to Europe during the summer of 2010. The tour "ATTACK OF THE YELLOW FRIED CHICKENZ" was created, and he came to London (England), Paris (France), Barcelona (Spain), Munich (Germany) and Bochum (Germany). The last show in Bochum was filmed by NicoNico and broadcast live. ♥
When returning to Japan, the YFC tour continued until the end of August where it was nicely wrapped together with a Swimsuit Festival where the audience wore swimming trunks or bikinis.
