Dark Clay village was founded a few years ago by the citizens of Havencrest who wanted to get a little closer to nature. some of the creatures that come through the warp didn't want to be cramped up in Havencrest housing and wished to build themselves homes in the neighboring woods. A mile or so into the Wild Woods was the ideal location a large clearing based with a hard flat clay that was firm enough to build on and discouraged the forests growth. At first there where one or two huts with bonfire place in the middle. Now though there are many abodes, a market place and even a shrine to Bode (Whomever he or she might be).
Dark Clay village's laws are separate to Havencrest though both communities have an understanding, often the beings who live in the village will hunt for food and create their own materials, clothes and tools as they see fit. A mile away again is the Bur Ore mine where the Orcs work and make a fortune selling it to the armor smiths in the city. Dark Clay village is the ideal home to any being that find themselves trapped by the walls of Havencrest.
