"Put plastic over his lips, then kiss him." Damian suggested. "It'll block the actual touch of your lips and you'll be able to feel the kiss like nothing was there." Damian explained. "I had to do it once when I was on a covert mission. I was supposed to get close to a demon woman, and she tried kissing me to kill me and I had plastic over my lips. It saved my life... well un-life anyway." Damian said, chuckling a little.

 Umeko Umeko sighed, "I don't want to use plastic, I want to actually feel the lips of the man I love against mine," she then looked at him, "And if my husband knew of my nature, he might think I was trying to kill him by putting plastic over his lips..." she continued to walk, "It doesn't matter anyway though...I'm marked a ninja and there is a huge target on my back, I wouldn't be able to sneeze without someone knowing about it."

"If you're such a skilled ninja then? Why haven't you just tried severing the ties that bind?" Damian asked, looking around now. What Umeko said made him a little uneasy. Were they being watched every second? "So... we're being watched right now?" Damian whispered to Umeko, learning forward towards her.

Umeko Umeko sighed and nodded, "They are. They are only scouts, gathering information and making sure that I follow through with the mission," she looked at him, "I may be powerful, but I'm honor bound to my village. If I were to break that bond...the target on me would get larger and they wouldn't stop until I was dead. Ninja's can't let their secrets fall into the wrong hands. Rouge Ninjas are killed within 24 hours no matter how strong they are. I am probably the strongest kunouichi alive, but even I'm still human, even I can still be killed..."

"There is an answer to that whole death thing. Trust me being a living corpse is so much better than being human. Plus all you need to do is have Bones tear your heart out. Just be ready for intense pain when she does it." Damian said, now just pushing the idea onto Umeko. He was pretty lonely as a corpse, and a friend wouldn't have been too bad.

Umeko Umeko looked at him for a moment and then she looked ahead. She was considering his suggestion to become like him. She then took a breath, "I have one question though...if I were to consider this, the day that I do want to die...would I be able too? Or would I forever be a living corpse?"

Umeko Umeko looked at him for a moment and then she shook her head, "It would be fine with me but I...will have to think on it. It is a big change..." she then sighed softly giving him a soft smile, "Thank you though...for the offer. It was a nice thing to offer me. Just...I need to think on it. Could you...tell me what it's like to be...like you?"

"Of course. Well it's not much different from being human. The only difference is that you cannot die unless killed by another corpse or if your heart is removed from your body and you are killed by human means. The only huge difference there is, is that we can sever any part of our bodies and use them for any means necessary. I can use my finger to etch things into most surfaces." Damian explained. "I enjoy being a corpse, although I sort of wish I could settle down with someone too." Damian said, chuckling a little.

Umeko Umeko listened to him as he spoke, "I see. I guess I am a little nervous about it all...I mean, what if something goes wrong while I'm being...changed? Has someone ever died while going through this process?" she then sighed when he mentioned that he couldn't settle down with someone either, "I guess we are both meant to be lonely the rest of our lives."

"Yeah I guess." Damian said, shrugging. He put his hands behind his head for a moment then put them back down. "So... where exactly are we going? We've just been walking but where is it we really have to be?" Damian asked, chuckling a bit. He knew who they were supposed to kill, why they were supposed to kill him, but he didn't know where they were supposed to kill him which was a little embarrassing.

Umeko Umeko looked at him for a moment, "We are heading towards the palace. And since we have already been attacked once by forces sent by him, either we will find him, or he will find us. He's a General, so we must make him think that he has the advantage against us," she then looked up at the sky, "Though, it will be getting dark soon and there is a village point up ahead. We'll rest there and take turns on watch."
