GUITAR HERO HELP PLEASE~ NEED TIPS

need tips on doing hammer on's i mean. i can do them but like. i wanna learn to do em faster coz im trying to do this
but it takes freaking hammer on skills. so can someone pass on their wisdom?

Because i know on through the fire and flames on expert there hammers ons in the beginning but i dont know how to do hammer ons do you haVE TO STRUM OR NOT

I've tried these in the tutorials before- you don't have to strum when you hit the second button. Pull-offs are just like hammer-ons,but you let go as you hit each button
