Star Fox: The New Generation (accepting now open)

Miles' brow twitched when he called him Fox's shadow, if aything he hated more than being forgotten, it was being compared to Fox with him being deemed less capible. Normally he would blow his ship out of space for saying such a thing, but the wolf's last comment changed his mind and brought a smile to his face, "I know, that little b*****d got more recognition than he desevered; damn General Papper forgot existed. But in the end, I wad the one who still got work"

"So what, where you around to save Katina!!" Perrin yelled out, his painful past was getting the better of him once again.

"Well, its been a pleasure but, I have a client I am supposed to meet on Venom." He said as, leaving the red fox behind.

"A client on venom? What the hell does he mean by that?" Sudden the screen on the monitor turned blank and the cornerian army insignia appeared along with the message, "Great...Maybe this time Ill get to be hero for once..." He muttered.

Firion was still clinging onto his craft and wondered what was going on. He soon decided to make use of his time and begin checking his weapons of jams or malfunctions, "better get to work." he said to himself opening a panel that held a large Gatling type weapon. Firion grabbed a tool that looked similar to today's wrench but larger and more high tech.

Fox arrived on the opposite side of the asteroid belt. he scanned the area and found several ships on the other side of the belt, including one very familiar signal. "Huh? so he's here too. I suppose things wll go more smoothly with Miles here". He activated the commlnk and sent a brief message to Corneria, then proceeded to the other side of the planet. As he got closer he activated to comm again.
"This is Fox McCloud. I have arrived to provide assistance. Who is in chage of this operation?"

"Damn it, it's one thing after another out here" Miles once again flipped on the moniter, the screen quickly came to life showing the image of Fox Mccloud, "Hey Fox, long time no see. what's it been? seven, eight years or so? Hows krystal? Is she still with your goofy a**?" He said smirking, he already knew the answer to the question, but he just wanted to hear it from him.

Fox sighed when Miles said that. Why did he have to mention Krystal? He took a breath and composed himself. "Now's not the time for that" he replied. "I recieved orders from the Cornerian military to investigate unusual behaviour on Venom. have any of you noticed anything?"

Miles frowned, "Is that how you greet old friends shortstack?" Miles flicked his finished cigarette bud onto the floor, "You bet your goofy a** we did, for some reason there was a squadron of venom fighters here. Dragon boy down there took em out, but what Im trying to figure out is why they were here in the first place. There hasnt been anything out here since we took out pigma all those years ago...Im a bit disturbed that you came here out of the possible places you couldve gone in the system...You werent looking for this old fox were ya?" (and to get an idea of his actual age, he's like 42 or something but he still looks good)

Fox frowned, he wasn't really in the mood for this. he scanned the area and found some venom fighters that were still sorta intact. he patched through to Miles again. "See the fighter at co-ordinates 12673B1? If you can, bring it aboard teh Great Fox. maybe we can get something out of it's computer sytems".

Firion sat on his ship seeing another ship come in but a very familiar craft. "seems this, Fox has arrived." he said to himself soon turning his head to find the bunker again. The draconic man pressed a small button on his helmet and linked to the ship's comms. "sorry to break up this reunion but, snake eater have you forgotten about the bunker we saw earlier?" he asked letting go of his ship and drifted off to a nearby asteroid and begam jumping the large rocks. Activating his small jet thrusters to help steer him to the next rock.

As Perrin flew though the Lylat System, he looked at the hologram that showed him the co-ordinates where he was supposed to go. He pulled back on a lever and the wings on his ship folded up, increasing his speed as he made his way to Venom.

Fox overheard the conversation about the bunker. "What bunker?" he asked. "Can someone please fill me in on the current situation?" He really didn't want to be here though. After the rest of his team left, the motivation, the drive to continue as a bounty hunter, just seemed to evaporate. he looked out at the stars as he waited for a response, wondering what the rest of his team... his friends, were doing.
