What I hate about "Gift the Person Above You" threads

75% of the gifters only care about getting. Like, a person is above them, they have a wishlist items that's only 10k and what does shittygifter give? A 500 gold item. I mean, it's okay if you're poor, (and if you have, like, Pale Marionette on, then you're not poor) but if you're not, why not break atleast 5k for the spirit of giving?

Does anyone else have a story about "x" shittygifter?

I didn't want to complain about that but..... yeah, I kind of don't like anyone gifting others items that are a little below 5k. 10k or above would be ideal but at least 5k would be great. I don't want people to feel obligated to give every single person a gift, immediately, or try to give the same person multiple gifts. I feel that makes people gift cheap gifts on purpose to try and get as much gifts in. If you don't have the gold, don't force yourself to gift trash. Even if you only end up gifting just one or two people with the 10k you had left, at least you gave gifts that were worthwhile.

It is pretty silly that with all the readily available things on Gaia some people give trash in a gifting thread...some might say
'it's the thought that counts'
but what kind of thought would that be?
'Here have my trash?'

It is the thought that counts but when you give someone trash, it's pretty obvious you didn't put much thought into the gift.
