Dice battles will work under the following rules.
There will be 3 rolls of 2 D-10 dice per battle.
They will occur at alternating pace.
EX: Player 1 Roll
Player 2 Roll
Player 1Roll
Player 2 Roll
Player 1Roll
Player 2 Roll
The first dice in the pair rolled will represent your attack, the second your defense. The sum of the two is irrelevant, and can be disregarded.
Attack Dice: The first in the pair of dice in the roll. This will decide just how powerful your attack is, and it will help decide if your attack actually hit. The higher the number you roll, the higher your chance of hitting your opponent and the more damage you’ll be causing.
Defense Dice: The second number in the pair. Your defense roll tells us if you were hit, and how much damage you took. The lower your number for the defense roll the higher your chance of damage taken, and the higher your chance of getting hit.
There will be a three digit damage system.
If the attack roll is one more than the defense roll the attack is a hit with minimal damage served.
EX: Attack: 7 Defense:6
If the attack roll is two more than the defense roll the attack is a hit with moderate damage served.
EX: Attack: 5 Defense: 3
If the attack is three more than the defense roll the attack is served at best ability.
EX: Attack: 6 Defense: 3
If the defense and attack roles are even it is a stalemate attack.
EX: Attack: 7 Defense: 7
If the defense roll is one number higher than your attack, your opponent will take the hit with mild damage taken.
EX: Attack -4 Opponents Defense -5
If the defense roll is two numbers higher, you opponent will have blocked the attack with mild damage taken.
EX: Attack -4 Opponents Defense- 6
If the defense roll is three numbers higher OR MORE, your opponent would have blocked or dodged the attack completely with no damage taken.
EX: Attack-4 Opponents Defense- 7
The person with the higher sum of attack and defense (After all three rolls) will be declared the winner. In the event of a tie, the victory will go to the contender with two higher numbers in their attack and defense rolls. In the event of other issues a solution will be found based on the dice roll and the action occurred.
This system is still in its beta stages, and we will be augmenting it when necessary to ensure that all battles are fair. If you have any suggestions, or issues please feel free to let us know!
Helpful things to know
Before you make your actual RP post you'll need to make the post rolling the dice. You will go back and edit the post to include your RP action after seeing your numbers.
Whoever opens the fight (the first person to post) will make both their attack and defense roll. However their defense roll for their first post will not be of use to them until they receive their first attack from the opponent. (Attack/ Brace for attack from opposition)
