well Diabeties can be cause from over weight but alot that I have seen or heard about is passed down from family , but sometimes will pass a generation and go to the next .

exactly what does it do? anything life threatining or just something you live with?

Well it can be life threatining, if your sugars are to high it can put you in to a coma... But if you keep track of your sugars and check the levels you can prevent that.. But for the most part many ppl do live with it. It's not something you can catch ... and some ppl take a little pill and other they have to take an incillin shot. and that help's to keep your sugar's from getting out of hand.

Type 1 Diabetes is COMPLETELY different from Type 2.

Type 1: Scientist do not know how it is caused, possible genetics, but the are not 100% sure.

Type 2: Being over weight - eating to much sugar things.

Being type 1, like I am, I have to give myself insulin for EVERYTHING I eat. unlike type 2 where they only take a pill and must watch everything they eat. I can eat anything I want to, no matter how much sugar is in it.

Yes I have heard of that one, I believe it causes a late pregnancy.

yeah, i know the diffrences and stuff, and i hate the insulin, but i got a pump, which is wayyyy better then the shots. you might want to look into it. animas.com i believe. that's the kind of pump i have
