	I think it could be a good idea albeit shallow. The reason I ask is the family dog is getting on in years. Hes been a very healthy dog so I don't think it would be such a bad idea, cute to boot. Anyways I figure if or when cloning is an affordable thing to do and I happen to want a dog I'll just clone. Discuss: Would you clone your pet?

	I'd do it if it were accessible and affordable to me. I wish i could clone my deceased pets as well. Doxy and Persha were just such great little fuzzballs. Although, i know their personalities may be different. can't exactly get the same exact pet out of it. Just their genetic code. I think i'd treat them more like a child of my pet and not as the pet itself.

	It would be really cool to clone my dog, but overall it is her personality I care about more than her appearance I'm pretty sure cloning doesn't have anything to do with personality right>>? But then how much of that is the way we raised her anyway? Also dog=personality lol

	Oh and--- doesn't a cloned animal live a shorter time though? As in if you cloned eg. a 7 year old dog, the new dog's body would 'think' it was already 7? So cloning an aged dog is not really much use sadly... Unless they have gotten past this by now.

	Nope. Don't clone pets. Death is part of the cycle of life. Grieving is part of life and when you love and lose and grieve, that makes you more of a person than you were before.

So cloning an aged dog is not really much use sadly... Unless they have gotten past this by now. I don't really know much about modern cloning techniques to be honest. You may have a point though sweatdrop I'm assuming it is still pretty pricey to do this so I'm mostly considering this for the semi distant future. By then hopefully the kinks will be worked out.

	I always thought like you would get a new baby but a lot like the last one. Most of my pets are dicks, so no probably not. Plus I would likely be too depressed about the originals death to see them as an adorable kittens again.
