The Works toilet cleaner bomb

I'm quite a few years late in discovering it, but I found it recently.
I've yet to try it, but I heard it's somewhat dangerous, being that someone claims people have died trying it?

Anyone else try it?
Heard of it?

Bad idea?
Awesome idea?

Need some opinions here.

For those who've yet to discover it themself.
It's a chemical reaction between small balls of aluminum foil and the hydrochloric acid in the toilet cleaner, something about heat in the combination builds up causing the bottle you put it in to explode.

Just saw some videos on YouTube. I'd say go ahead if you've got someone to do it with and a large open area.

when testing possibly dangerous things, it always took a team of scientists, that wether success or fail, someone can tell the world wtf happened.

I'd rather we not be held accountable for anything you do, so I'm going to make the official statement of "If you're rethinking doing it and it involves bombs and chemical reactions, it's probably dangerous."

My friend and I made a works bomb and set it off once. Big bang, worth the cheap materials, if you have a secluded place you can go set it off in. I recommend getting away and behind something after you've shaken it up, and leaving soon after.

That said, it's nothing amazing.

Well, we've got a place in the woods we could set it off.
Though the world are in a community... So we'd have to do it, then leave as conspicuously as possible.

Even though leaving the woods after a loud noise goes off kinda gives it away immediately.

it seems like this sort of thing pops up whenever a movie shows clearly a way that could make a bomb.

latest one i've seen that does it is Red.

I actually got the idea from ******** with fireworks.
Then I was like...I want to make a bomb.

As Wayne said though, and to keep myself from being liable for anything, it probably is a bad idea. It's obviously dangerous, and it's obviously not legal, so I wouldn't recommend it for those two reasons alone, and watching a video of one is about as exciting as setting one off (in retrospect). If you do decide to do it, however, be safe and careful.

The idea to do it was mine alone.

to be honest. it more intresting to watch a very large structure imploded.

if i can find the vid of one i went to on our network i'll upload it to boob tube and link it. it'll be one of the few videos uploaded on my account lol.
edit: the file is gone so i'll have to import it from the DVD once i find it.

one final thing, wear goggles if you go through with it. I HAVE WARNED YOU!
