I'm a bit of a stubborn girl. If you try and tell me what to do, I'll get mad, unless I like you. Around my friends I'm super nice and funny, but if I dislike you, I'm a sarcastic b***h. Usually, adults say I'm sweet, smart, and a nice little girl, and my parents say I'm a fiery little angel. I find it funny, so many descriptions for little old me. Around guys though, I can be super flirty, though it depends on how I feel about them if its joking or not.
The past influences the future
Well, let's see, besides my dad dying when I was very little, and my mom being famous, I'm perfectly normal.
Not even. Really, after my dad died, mom worked her butt of, earning money, and then eventually getting discovered. Soon enough, she became famous. Now, you see, my mom got really rich, really fast. It was pretty cool. I grew up getting whatever I wanted and everything. Though, when I turned fifteen, I started to notice how spoiled I really was... After that I started to be more independent, and now I've come to this beautiful resort for a job, where not everyone will know who I am. Besides, to the public, I'm just Summer. Oh, want to know the best part, I am home schooled, so I don't have to follow those silly dress codes that others have to follow. Annoyed, angry, arrogant... You know, the norm for people being forced to work against their will. Occasionally I can be happy, but it's usually when I'm not working.
The past influences the future
Well, I was born into the house of a rich family. My father is the president of a large oil mining company and my mother is a stay-at-home mom. Ever since childhood, I was given almost everything I wanted... Whether it being a indoor swimming pool (Which made me a great swimmer), or the finest clothes I could find. All I really had to do in the process, was keep my grades up and stay in... Band.
For the most part, I did pretty well in high school. I got mostly A's and I was pretty likable. I never did anything wrong, but I never did anything good either. My parents think I'm slightly anti-social because I've never had a girlfriend, but I really couldn't care less. All women do is create drama and talk. Besides, only 2% of highschool couples stay together... Why would I want to set myself up for failure? Now are the golden years...
The only reason I'm being forced to work at this island, is because of a little mess up in my part. You see, I was given a credit card on my 17th birthday and I maxed it out within 2 days. My parents told me it was irresponsible behavior and that I needed to work so I could realize the value of money and so I could pay my parents back. Applying was hard, because I didn't have that many skills or any work ethic. They finally accepted me because I was a swimmer; I could be a life-guard at one of the pools. Quite self centered actually. I care about myself more than others, making sure that I receive the best before anyone else. I'm very spoiled, and I love it. I'm a brat. What else can I say? Everyone knows it. I throw tantrums, very much like a small child would. My temper is very easy to break, well, at least whenever I don't get what I want. Everybody on this island is my servant, because I'm the Princess. And boy, do I act it. But, there are few people that I have come into contact, that know the person underneath the bratty outer shell. When they know me on the inside, I'm different. I'm more caring, sweet, and kind. But being kind is disobeying my father. And we can't have that, can we..
The past influences the future
I've always lived with my father on this island. My mother has never even said a word to me in my life. The maids and nannies who care for me, tell me that my father kicked her off the island. Shipped her away on the first boat that came after I was born. They said that he had treated her like a queen while I was in her oven, but as soon as I came out, they were divorced, and she was thrown to the side like a rag doll. I think he only used her to reproduce, so that he could have a daughter. Anyways, I have always been raised by nannies and maids. There is only one nanny that I favor among the others. Christine. She has been by my side since birth, actually, she was my mothers best friend. My father hired her when she was eighteen, fresh out of college. She cared for me, saw what an as$ my father was, and stayed. She wanted me to become a sweetheart, that was kind to everyone. But my father taught me differently. I have to obey him, or I'll lose everything, just like my mother. And what's a life without the riches? Not a life at all.
I've been stuck on this island since I was born. I have private tutors, personal nannies, and my own hotel. I live in the pent house in my hotel, which has a view over the whole island. It's a pretty sight. I have absolutely no friends. Most of the time it doesn't bother me, but sometimes it makes my heart heavy. I wish to have just one friend, one that I could share my secrets with. But my father wouldn't allow that. He thinks that people are a bad influence on me, and that I should treat them with total disrespect. The only people I should even consider being nice to, are my tutors, and extra special guests my father invites to his island. But that's it, anyone else, and I can be a brat towards them. Sometimes though, I wonder what it would be like if I didn't throw fits all the time, if I didn't hurt peoples feelings. I wonder what it would be like to have a handful of friends.. Honestly, I might be the most persistent person that my friends know. My parents call me toro cabeza or bull head because of my persistence. I mainly only see one way and that makes me hard to get along with sometimes but it does help me to learn. Also I’m very proud of my heritage, you make one comment about Mexicans that is racist or offensive and I might just have to hit you so hard you’ll realize that sometimes silence isn’t just golden it’s good for keeping people safe.
The past influences the future
My past is full of misunderstandings and it all started when my parents managed to gain citizenship. You see, I’m a second generation Mexican immigrant my first language was Spanish and I always had to blend in or assimilate with the people around me. I studied hard to make sure that my English wasn’t lacking and that I didn’t fit in with the generalization that all Mexicans were awful with English words. I think those generalizations were what guided most of my decisions in life and it didn’t help that my parents felt as the youngest child I needed to be pushed harder than the rest. But it’s not all bad; from a young age my father taught me how to play the acoustic guitar. It’s a very good stress reliever when the classes and family start to get to me. I appear charming, cheerful, and flirtacious to guests and around my boss. However, when they aren't looking I'm sneaky, fierce, "disappearing" to avoid work, and always looking for a good thrill. If you boss me around, be prepared to face an angry tongue lashing. I have a lot of attitude.
The past influences the future
I grew up with strict parents, real authoritarians actually. They were proud to have such a smart child, a prodigy really, and always had me taking extra courses, going into advanced programs and the like. For awhile I grew up the way they wanted, got straight As, did exactly what they told me to do, kept my mouth shut when they said something I didn't agree with, but I always asked them why. I began to resent them and teachers who were just the same, they never gave an answer more than "because I said so," I started looking for my own answers and doing things my own way.I was too smart to just obey, my whole life, I found I really only needed to be in school a few days a week to be caught up on the lesson plans so I started out just skipping school, then I started making out in abandoned hallways after the bell rang, pulling elaborate tricks on teachers, went to parties, and even graffitied the roof of the school. I got my belly button pierced, wore outfits against the dress code and got a tattoo of vines climbing up my ankle. Now my intelligence has became something I hide, my "rebel" friend found it inteimidating so I hid it. I'm almost always right, or at least in my mind. If you ask me to do something, as long as it works out for me in the long run, I have no opposition. I bet I could handle whatever somebody throws at me! Some would say that I wasn't the most cheery person on the planet, but hey, I'm glad with my social status turned to 'popular'.
The past influences the future
My past, to me, is only one word. BEAST! Since I was a kid, my dad would say to me " One day, son, you'll be a star! ". He and I both thought that was true. I was always one of the popular kids, but I still got amazing grades throughout my school career.
Here in high school, I've been having the time of my life. I don't love the work, but the nerds are envious of me. I have maintained a 4.4 Grade Point Average throughout the three years, peaking at a 4.6. I have no worries about costs in tuition for college. Heck, they will have to give me a scholarship, whether it be for football or basketball, or for my swagging grades!
