the miracle curtain is a strange item, birthed by the embryo itself. the wish of the shugo chara, the fragments of the human character hidden to the naked eye, brought about the creation of the curtain. the curtain acts as a divide between worlds. the human world, where x-eggs are created and purified, and the world of the shugo chara. this world is a cauldron for wishes and dreams, hopes and desires. gaining control of the miracle curtain means gaining access to this dream. and if access is granted to the wrong person, catastrophe could occur.

learning of the embryo and trying to obtain it was easter's mission. the mission of a new enemy, called persona for their ability to portray many different characters, is to obtain the miracle curtain and control the world. originality is not their forte, as they are similar to easter in many ways. and like the guardians, they hold different chairs and have different subordinates working for them. a king, a queen, a jack, an ace and two jokers exist. two jokers? combined with the guardians, the three jokers are engaged in a lethal battle. persona's jokers, red and black, are fighting the guardians' joker for the humpty lock. in a deck of playing cards, there can only be two jokers. the jokers of persona set out to destroy the guardians' joker, an unassuming girl with a love of performing named emi yamabuki.
