What happened to the back saying what the game's about?

Used to be that reading the back of the game case would tell you all about the game.

But now backs of game cases only give a brief descriptions of the game's features and a ton of legal, copyright, and trademark information.

What went wrong?

i guess they got lazy,
i mean have you seen the booklet to some games now?
only like 2 or 3 pages! i remember back in the day for the ps1 and the ps2
those booklet were like 100 or 30 pages!

the mortal kombat booklet is like 2 or 4 pages!

but yeah i know what you mean,
i usually just look at the picture on the back
how many player's can play it
if it has down loadable content
and also if it has trophies

Maybe so they make it so you don't know what you're buying and just make it look awesome so you do?

Its why I do research on the games I'm buying first lol.
