Let me see here. What do you know, The Fool right from the get go. That's a bit unusual. The fool as a character is just starting out, full of possibilities but with no experience to guide him, and already is heading towards a cliff. You might want to watch out for that. Luckily he is followed by his faithful dog, and while the helpfulness of the pet is in question at least he is a companion, and the Fool has all he needs for now in his pack.
After the Fool ... is ... well darn. I hate the bloody Wheel of Fortune. Yes, for a great deal of the time we control our own fates, and yes I realize that this is odd coming from someone doing a reading like this. But sometimes luck and chance, good or bad, intervene. The wheel is about chance and change. What is worrisome is the question of whether it is carrying you up to the sky or whether you are about to be crushed beneath the very same wheel. Either way, your actions and choices don't really matter leading up to the change.
Following this is ... know what? You're really screwed. The Tower following the Wheel is hardly ever a good sign. You can see here, what should be a sturdy stone tower crumbling from the force of a lightening bolt. Here we see the destruction of a previously held belief or idea. And it isn't exactly gentle. And there the viewer stands, surrounded by what is left of what he thought was true. The upside is that he now has plenty of material with which to build something new though. That is if he wasn't crushed.
Next is ... the High Priestess. A beautiful lady crowned by moonlight with the scrolls of knowledge in her hands and a screen behind her. She is calm and knows more than any other creature in creation, and a good sight more than she will ever tell. Now the question is whether she will choose to give you the information you wish to know or keep it hidden, and whether you will leave with the information you need. You best hope you do the way this is going.
Now we have Strength. Pay attention here. There is the lion, wild and fearless and really doesn't need any more explanation. But notice that he is subdued by the gentle maiden. Strength isn't all about bluster and the physical. You need to be strong both mentally and emotionally. Be strong in soul and spirit and all of the physical will bow down to you. This is what you really need to remember.
And here ... is the Devil. At first glance the Devil shows you all of the worldly things and desires that you crave. But he only shows them to you. While this does enslave some people, they do it to themselves and honestly could slip free at any time. After a closer look you can see that he is really Pan, showing you all of your desires and what you most want. And how would you get anywhere without them? It is a delicate balance. Don't give into every little impulse you have, but keep in mind your inspiration and your passion.
Finally we have ... Death. Well, things are looking up. Everyone fears Death. They fear an end, good or bad. But you have to end one step to start the next. This is the card of not only death but rebirth. The end and the beginning. In order to move on something will have to end. And then you get the chance to start something new.
Well, there it is. I'm not going to tell you what it all means, mostly because I don't really know myself. These things tend to only become apparent whilst in the midst of it all. Still, it is important to keep all of this in mind. Sometimes remembering the right thing at the right time makes all the difference.
