((@Kage: To be entirely honest (and I've said this before in descriptions and such) this is a weapon that once belonged to someone else -- was created by XSKAmbrosia for his previous character, Neo. I couldn't find it's exact stats in the custom weapon section, so I was estimating as well. Who knows? It might have actually had some special properties, but since I couldn't find it. *shrugs* It looks like this thing, though.

As for the length, after your explanation, I kinda agree. She'd probably have about 10-12 feet left (including the hook at the end), but to throw that entire 10-12 feet and just hold on to the very end would be foolish. Gotta leave some leeway for possible slippage. Thus, she probably threw about 5-7 feet of it. Which might have reached you IF (edit) she had thrown it up toward you and IF (end edit) you had actually been able to keep that exactly 7 feet gap, which by your own post and calculations could not have happened.

You mentioned the acceleration of free-fall due to gravity. Rini had that working on her the entire time -- up until the brief slow and then jerked stop into a swing through the window. Say for argument's sake that the two started falling at roughly the same time. You posted that one of your chakrams briefly stopped your fall and then allowed it to resume when you had that 7-foot gap. That means your fall speed started over from zero whereas Rini continued to accelerate the entire time (up until reaching terminal velocity, at least). That means your seven foot gap would have lengthened. I don't have the patience or mind power right now to do all that math (since I've been doing it all day in my internship trying to code for roll, pitch, yaw, from quaternions and other such coordinate conversions), but I still say that fact would have prevented you from cutting the chain in time to stop her fall/swing through the window.

On top of that, yes your Hidden Mist style is super fast, but again -- you're free-falling and your chakram is falling with you. Thus there's nothing for you to gain the proper leverage against -- no stationary object to act on -- to do your push-off-twist-attack-thing. And how can you push off something AND pull it into your hand at the same time. You would have had to have been holding the chakram when you pushed off of it to take it with you, but that would have counteracted the push -- like trying to jump off of a skateboard while holding on to the side(s). You don't really go anywhere . . .

@Shane: To be honest, I'm ready for this to be over and done with. We've been fighting for almost three weeks now . . . ))

(OOC: Eh?... Uh?... Sorry and thank you gonk ? Really, really sorry >< .
Koneko, can you post first sweatdrop ? I've got no idea what to do now and since the fight is over, I guess there's no reason to argue about what might have happened.)

Rini scowled when -- upon pulling in the chain -- she found the end without a hook and the slice almost too clean, as if the chain had just not been finished. "You broke it again! [censored]! I'm gonna --" A loud bell toll that seemed to vibrate throughout the entire tower interrupted Rini's declaration and made her fall silent and glance around curiously. She was fairly certain the other kunoichi had not caused that, so what could it be? Before she could puzzle it out a scroll appeared in front of her in a burst of smoke.

The High Priestess caught it and arched an eyebrow. With a shrug of one shoulder, she unfurled it and scanned the contents. The match was over. She had won! She was now a jounin! "Yatta!" She exclaimed, forgetting the ruined chain as she bounced about the room in celebration. "Haha! Just wait 'till Pops sees this!"

Rini whirled toward the window (or Kageko if the girl had entered the room after her), and grinned broadly. "It's been nice playing with ya! Ja ne!" With a smart salute, the young woman twirled on her bare feet and all but skipped out of the tower and back toward the cafe to show off her success to Saotome -- if he was still there.

((I figured I'd meet ya halfway Kage, and say you cut the chain but she still made it in. Now the thing's totally useless. crying Ah well. She didn't really use it much (at all) anyway. I also figured we'd get some sort of signal to tell us the match is over (and the results), so . . . yeah. Is what I did alright? And does that mean the exams are over for us, then? If so, then sweet!))

(OOC: I think the post is good 3nodding . At least, it's better than anything I could think of sweatdrop .)

After slicing the chain, Kageko used her body to correctly position her body and then gripped tightly at the window ledge as she fell the rest of the short way down. Just then, the girl heard the full bell tone and felt the window ledge she gripped shaking as the sound resonated throughout the tower. Kageko thought suspiciously as she cautiously peeked up, both chakrams ready at her side. However, the curious look on the woman's face as she glanced up told the weapon specialist that she didn't know what was up either. Quickly but cautiously pulling herself up over the window, a cloud of smoke poofed into existence in front of Kageko at the same time that a cloud of smoke appeared in front of Rini.

Kageko was much more cautious than Rini, and so she spent some time carefully observing the scroll. However, after Rini had opened her scroll and exclaimed something happily before running off as if the battle had been finished and she had won, Kageko figured that the scroll was probably not a threat. The girl opened her scroll as well and perked up an eyebrow. Kageko thought quietly to herself as she began walking out of the tower. Judging from Rini's reaction a while ago, the girl had thought that she had lost for whatever reason. She hadn't expected for two people to be ranked up to jounin. The girl allowed herself a small smile and laugh before packing the scroll away and then running off. There were several people she needed to get the news out to and meet up with now that she had ranked up. Kageko predicted, .
