Nicolae, or Nicu as he is known to his friends, is the owner and proprietor of a travelling gypsy wagon. He has set up camp in Barton Town while 'all the craziness settles down'… which may be for much longer than he originally intended.

Natasha took Edmund and Louie Von Helson into Durem town to rendezvous with Nicolae in the storyline manga Heir to Darkness. Nicolae sold Natasha a glowing, purple pendant in order for them to get in and see The Kuro Gang. He gave his word for it working, saying the boss Luca loves rare jewels, but Natasha knew the worth of his word and offered to pay only half his price, threatening to hunt him down if it didn't work. Again, he said it would work, but told her to bring her Vampire friend if she wanted to come by again, saying he'd take it up a notch. It turned out that the pendant was stolen from Luca's mother, so he ordered Faris to send someone to bring the "seedy traveller" to the headquarters if he was stupid enough to still be in town.
