James knew the doctors were going to talk to her. "They will try to convince you to say you want someone else, I give you too much freedom in their eyes." He chuckled at her words and nodded. "Pizza or burgers?"
At her question, he took a deep breath and thought about it. "I would have kept control over my temper better. I wouldn't have run away. I would have tried to fix things much, much sooner... I wouldn't have blamed her for my mistakes." He smiled weakly, "ask me anything you wish. I'll be as honest as possible, so long as you keep the same promise."
Tonight, out on the street, out in the moonlight
And dammit this feels too right, it's just like déja vu
Me standing here with you
So I'll be holding my breath, could this be the end?
Is it that moment when, I find the one that I'll spend forever with

Yeah, I might be insane. But if you had lived through
what I've had to, you'd be crazy too.

As Grace listened to his answer, she found herself puzzling over what exactly he was referring to. Earlier he had said he had had a hard life and she couldn't help but wonder what he'd meant by that. Of course, that was just her insatiable curiousity rising in her again. "I'll be honest, I'll keep that promise, but don't expect me to answer every question you ask me," she said to him, almost in a warning type of tone. The recently past events she'd tried hard to supress and she wasn't going to let her mind remember them anytime soon. It was bad enough that she had nightmares while she slept and couldn't control where her mind wandered. During the day though, she had some control and she wasn't about to give that up. Not for anyone, not even to help herself.

James sighed, "one other doctor is interested in your case. He has a guaranteed way to 'cure' you, but it's horrible." James shook his head, "he literally loads you with so much medication you can't function at all. You're practically brian dead while on the medication. I don't see why they let him become a doctor." He looked at her and chuckled. "Pizza it is." He began to walk to the door and smiled back at her. "See you tomorrow."
The Next Day
James entered the facility holding a large box of half pepperoni-half cheese pizza. He had forgotten to ask what she liked. He walked into the room he had found her before and took a seat, staring out the window as he waited for Grace.
Tonight, out on the street, out in the moonlight
And dammit this feels too right, it's just like déja vu
Me standing here with you

The next day, Grace wasn't a happy camper. She hadn't gotten nearly as much sleep as she'd wished last night because it seemed that every time she got into a nice, deep sleep, she was awoken by a bad dream. When she finally did manage to drift into a nice sleep, it was nearly morning and she was told to get up by one of the schedule guides here in the facility. Grace got out of bed, giving the woman who woke her a dirty look as she did till the woman left, and got dressed. As she ran her fingers through her knotty hair walking down the hall, she passed a window that she could see her reflection in and wasn't surprised when she saw dark circles under her eyes from the lack of sleep. "Oh, well," she mumbled quietly to herself, walking to the room that she was in yesterday. Before she'd gotten into the room, she could smell the pizza which meant that James must've already been there. When she walked into the room, she saw him with the pizza box. "Morning, she mumbled as she went and sat on the piano bench though she had no intention of playing while someone was in the room.

James looked at her and rose an eyebrow. "Erm... I would ask if you slept well but that is a tad bit obvious." He chuckled at his lame excuse for a joke. "So did they talk to you like I said?" James yawned and leaned back, relaxing.

James smiled, "i'm sure your arsenal of words is quite... venomous." He shrugged and flipped open the pizza box, grabbing a slice of cheese. "Forgot to ask what toppings you liked." He looked at her, "imma give you homework. Write me a list containing your ten favorite foods and i'll bring you some every once in a while."
